Head of the Avon Gorge - Saturday 12th April 2008
The event will be re-run on the new date of Saturday 12th April
Shirehampton to Hotwells, 4.25 miles upstream on the flood tide.
One division starting at 1100am.
Open to all classes of boat. £8 per seat.
This event is only rowed in one direction. The finish is
about 300 metres upstream of the Clifton Suspension Bridge. Crews will then pass through the
entrance lock into Bristol Harbour, disembarking at the City of Bristol Rowing Club. It is
therefore advisable to have a non-rowing driver in your squad. If your driver is rowing in the
race, please advise race control and arrangements will be made to transport such people back to
Shirehampton after the race.
