Read the checklist below, then email to reserve your space - you'll need a £150 non-refundable deposit.
Booking checklist:
1. Are your team available for the 4 weeks of the course?
You'll be rowing in a boat of 8, so you'll need 8 people for each water session - that's why we suggest having a team of more than 8 people, so you can swap it around if someone is not available. Everyone in your team will have the chance to race at the Regatta.
2. Do you have a team captain to arrange your sessions and crew?
3. Decide which 2 water training sessions per week you would like. Days and times will be provided when you confirm you have a team together.
Will I have a good time?
At CBRC, we love rowing, and this is our chance to share the fun with others in Bristol. But don't take our word for it - read these testimonials from previous Corporate Row teams:
"I was hooked from the first session... we really bonded... a wonderful event with colleagues, friends & family cheering us on... I'd recommend it to anyone" [click to see full details]
"I was involved in the corporate row last year and was hooked from the first session. As a team we had an amazing summer rowing twice a week together we really bonded as a group of people, and the competitiveness added the extra edge.
The regatta day was a wonderful event with colleagues, friends and family cheering us on and taking those all important shots for the company newsletter! We were very proud as a team to get to the final and just got beaten at the finish line... gutted!
All in all the exercise (cheaper than a gym session), the fresh air, the 8 men/women in boat and seeing parts of Bristol we'd never seen before was a great way to spend the summer evenings with colleagues i'd recommend it to anyone!
Now, 8 months on, I've been able to continue with the club and have rowed down the Thames, competed at Dorney at the 2012 Olympic rowing site, won my first regatta and I'm just about to compete at this years Women's Henley Regatta... not bad eh!?!?"

"This was a really positive experience...One of the greatest gains for me was the sense of being in a real team that had to pull together... It was refreshing to experience this with colleagues I would not normally work closely with... I would recommend this event to anyone." [click to see full details]
"This was a really positive experience. Although tough, I felt like I had, for the first time in a long while, really pushed myself to achieve. A valuable few weeks in many ways. One of the greatest gains for me was the sense of being in a real team that had to pull together.
You definitely discover things about yourself and your colleges when participating and find a new confidence when you know someone is not sitting the boat as well as they could. There is a need for honest communication to progress. It was refreshing to experience this with colleagues I would not normally work closely with.
I would recommend this event to anyone."

What happens to the money raised?
Rowing is a hi-tech sport, and our equipment is expensive. We need to cover the cost of your course, and to fundraise for equipment for the club.
We are a registered charity dedicated to the promotion of community participation in rowing and this event helps to keep the sport accessible to all people in Bristol.
In addition, we have kept Corporate Row fees the same as last year plus added a perpetual trophy to the prizes for the winners!
