Joining the club

Interested in Joining?


The club currently has around 200 members and caters for
  • All ages from junior to veteran.
  • Any level of ability from complete beginner to experienced rower.
  • Any level of commitment, from recreational rowing to serious competition.


    Never rowed before?


    We invite complete beginners to join our learn to row course.

    We have a rapidly expanding junior squad with a dedicated team of coaches.

    Coxes and Coaches


    We are always in need of people to cox and coach our boats and volunteers are greatly appreciated.
    If you want to learn to cox, training can be provided. Please contact the Club Secretary for more information.
    If you have coxed before, please contact either the Women's or Men's Captain.

    The club will make a contribution towards the cost of coaching courses for members who coach regularly.

    A small additional charge is made for paying by monthly standing order to cover administrative costs.
    There is currently a waiting list for racking boats at the club.

    Please print out the membership form, fill it in and put it in a sealed envelope marked CBRC Secretary. Post the form in the boathouse letter box which is in the wall to the left of the double doors (if the doors are open you will have to slide the left one closed to see the letterbox hidden behind it).
    Any subscriptions cheques or standing order forms should also be posted in the boathouse letterbox in a separate envelope addressed to the CBRC Treasurer.
    Make cheques payable to City of Bristol Rowing Club.
